It's a little chilly out. 22°F when I took this shot. Just drove back from Physics II Final...

How do you like your v6 firebird? I've seen a few on the cheap and was looking to get into a coupe for the summertime

Thanks, I got it as a joke because I'm always asked what is done to my LS1.

If you can get a 2000-'02 model, you're best off. Those have all the hardware/software updates. Tubular exhaust manifolds, better steering rack design, updated heads (98 and earlier have issues with the valve guides cracking).
Biggest issue with them is the intake gaskets. The dex-cool causes the plastic gaskets to crack. There are metal problem solver gaskets out, relatively simple repair job done in a day's time. I've got 160K miles on it now, owned it for 11 years.
The suspension is the best thing to upgrade overall. Good springs/shocks and a refreshed set of bushings can really improve the car's manners.
They're not fast in stock trim. High 15's in the 1/4 mile, so you still have to plan ahead for passing, etc. etc.
They can look really nice, and when they're properly maintained will go a long way for reliability. The ones I see that are basket cases online is usually because of owner laziness and abuse.
Mine is extensively modded and has a T-56 6-speed trans as well. I'm moving to a turbocharged setup soon enough.
